Me
I love drawing others to the Lord through design that captivates and communicates like our Creator does; that is why I got into design in the first place! All it took was one poorly designed missionary video to show me that the ministry needs good design. I grew up hearing my grandparents’ stories of their many years spent with the Thai people, showing them Christ’s love through a life of sacrifice. With this rich family heritage in missions, I am ecstatic about reaching other people groups with the Gospel!
I am deeply inspired by great artists such as Van Neistat and Josef Müller-Brockmann, who break down what good design truly is by eliminating the unnecessary. Like these greats, I love to start solving a problem the classic way—with a pen, paper, and my hands. After narrowing down exactly what should happen, I execute it through the technology available to me. Living in Asia for a summer and designing for a humanitarian organization taught me first-hand what cross-cultural communication truly is. Seeing God as the ultimate Creator greatly shapes how I design. I have been entrusted with the ability to create well like He does!
When I am not immersed in Adobe products or reading books on my favorite artists, you will probably find me at the skatepark with my friends; this is my favorite way to get outside and have fun! I love picking up new hobbies often—from woodworking to sewing to photography. I also truly enjoy spending time with my family and fiancée at home, exploring the outdoors and my hometown of Pittsburgh.
